Lesson Procedure

Introduction / Warm-Up (5 min)

Begin by asking: “Do you know a festival called Holi?” / “توهان هولي جو جشن ٻڌو آهي؟”

Show pictures of Holi celebrations (people throwing color) and ask students what they think is happening.

Introduce: “هولي هڪ رنگين ۽ خوشيءَ وارو تہوار آهي.” (“Holi is a colorful and joyful festival.”)

Teaching / Explanation (10 min)

Explain why Holi is celebrated (in a simple way): for friendship, the arrival of spring, joy, and to forget past differences.

Talk about traditional practices: playing with colored water or powder, singing, dancing, meeting friends.

Discuss that for many Sindhis, Holi is not just fun but has a message of love and harmony between people.

Divide students into small groups. Give each group some drawing paper + color pencils / paints.

Ask them to draw a scene of Holi: children playing with colors, water balloons, people laughing.
